The myth of non violence is perpetuated through the desire to avoid an actual revolution that will only happen via violence and uprising. Using visual imagery and sounds hip to the hippie I’m comparing two creations of the CIA during their operations in the 50s and 60s, the hippy movement king Jerry Garcia, and the unintended “terrorist” Ted Kazsynski. One led a group of people to lay in fields and fuck each other in the name of peace, the other disgusted with what society has become shipped bombs to various banks and technological institutions. Makes you wonder what it takes to actually change things and which movements are real or manufactured.
